Thank you for wanting to volunteer and help with the dogs at Morris Safe House.  I look forward to meeting you and getting to know you as we love the dogs and play with them. 

When you come for a work day you will need to wear OLD CLOTHES because you will get dirty.  You will need to wear tennis shoes or shoes that will not be ruined if you step in poop.

Coming out of Lubbock

Hwy 114 going toward Levelland

Turn LEFT  at Hwy 2130 go across the RR tracks that is Nightingale Road.  Stay on the pavement until it ends (3 miles) stay straight on the dirt road until you get to the WHITE mailbox on the RIGHT.  Turn in the driveway.  On the right you will see a group of trees, a motor home , the kennel.  That’s where you are coming.  Turn in the drive and come up to the building.  I will be waiting for you.  Inside the building on the floor there is a plastic tub with disinfectant in it.  STEP in the tub to clean the soles of your shoes.  WE do this every time anyone comes it.  It helps keep out bacteria and viruses that could make the dogs ill.

 Absent, not coming or ill or late

I set times for us to have fun and work.  If you are going to be late or absent, I must know so please call me 239-0156.  I don’t want to plan something for you and you not show up.  If you are ill please let me know. 

School Grades    

Part of  being a responsible Kennel Kid is to keep your school grades up.  If you are having problems with a subject please let me know so I can help you.  If you get progress reports, Please tell me.  Your grades must not drop or you will have to miss Saturdays until you get your grades back up. 

 If you have questions about dogs, yours at home or any at the Safe House please ask.  NO question is stupid!  Together we will find the answer.

 I will provide something to drink and a light snack each day we meet.

 Your parents are welcome to see the dogs and see the facility.  I will answer any questions they may have.

 Thank your parents for letting you be part of Morris Safe House Kennel Kids and thank them for providing transportation for you to come.

 When the dirt road it too muddy, I will meet you at the end of the pavement and bring you up to the Safe House and when it is over we will meet your parents at the end of the pavement.
